The Guatemalan Soviet Socialist Republic is one of the Soviet footholds in the Americas, and in 1976, it reformed it into a Communist state.

HistoryEdit

After the Spanish conquest of Mexico in the 15th Century, Guatemala was the next site for Spanish annexation, and this continued until 1821, when the region was given full independence and became a reliatively quiet and peaceful country concerned with itself, by 1976, General Tatarin and other 'advsors' were sent here and the Democratic Republic of Guatemala reformed into the Guatemalan Soviet Socialist Republic (GSSR) and presumably had strategic advantage as it may have been a half way point for Soviet invasion forces and the United States.

Population Edit

The native Soviet population is composed of 13 million, but there may be a chance that their may be Russian, European and African settlers.
